The Proposal

Drop Foot is defined as an abnormal decrease in the extent to which the foot can be lifted off the ground during the swing phase of normal walking. This condition has a pronounced effect on those who have suffered a stroke and, when untreated, can lead to trips, falls , and other walking related injuries. Our goal is to create a unique device to correct this problem and demonstrate its use in every-day life. In addition, we are challenged to make the AFO compact, Lightweight, and inexpensive.
